Klippers Organics
Cawston, BC

http://www.klippersorganics.com/

We always love seeing Klippers at the farmers markets. This incredibly knowledgeable young family farm is so passionate about their produce we have been lucky to learn from them. Their farm sits on 40 acres, allowing them to offer a vast selection of vegetables and fruits throughout the year.

Klippers not only believes in organic farming practices but they are also strong believers of energy efficiency, and seek natural energy sources to facilitate their operations. Their efforts have been recognized three years in a row, landing them the finalist position as outstanding young farmer of the year between 2005 and 2007.

Growing their juicy crop in the Similkameen Valley, this awesome team has a lot to be proud of.

In some of BC’s most ideal soil, young family farm Crisp Organics grows its bounty, and plenty of it on all 11 acres they acquired just four years ago. Receiving lots of sunshine, you can taste the tender love and care this crop has received through its mouth-watering flavours. We especially love picking up their full bunches of kale and juicy garlic at the farmers markets!

Forstbauer Family Natural Food Farm
Chilliwack, BC
http://www.forstbauer.com

Organic farming movement pioneers Mary and Hans Forstbauer have been successfully farming organically since the 1970’s. Talk about some clean soil! We have been lucky enough to learn from Mary at different farmers markets how we can prepare vegetables, seasonal availabilities and about farming practices.

Their twelve children were raised on the farm and many of them are still involved in the business today, and several have organic farms of their own.

Thomas Reid Farms
Langley, BC
http://www.trforganic.com/

The Reid family has been farming for generations. Brad and Karen (and their 4 boys: Dave, Jon, Paul and Nico) have been raising chicken since 1989. In 1994 they became B.C.’s first certified organic chicken farm, pioneering much of what is considered the norm in raising organic chickens today. They only raise certified organic chicken because they will only raise what is best for their family, our province and our environment. It is so cool for us to work with organic pioneers in our province!
